I was watching a documentary the other day and I thought it'd be worth looking this up here, but I didn't find any reference to it.
Michael E. Thornton is a retired Navy SEAL Michael Thorton is the name of the character in this game, and he's a special operative. That can't be a mere coincidence, can it? Surely it's an hommage?
