Dossiers contain all kinds of information about individuals and factions.

They provide a brief summary of the subject's history and background; for individuals, they offer psychological profiles and give estimates of the reputation they have with Thorton. They also track the "secret facts", which usually offer unique insight into a character's or faction's history and may enable additional dialogue options. Some of the dossiers provide in-game benefits by allowing Thorton to reference the information that he wouldn't be able to know otherwise, and some also result in combat benefits by increasing damage dealt to certain opponents.

The dossier entries can be unlocked by collecting dossier intel in the field during missions, buying intel directly from the Clearinghouse, talking with characters, or reading e-mails. The dossier intel you find is not unique and simply unlocks entries in the pre-determined order. The dossiers are available anytime via the PDA's intel menu, where they also display their completion percentage. This percentage increases in steps for each dossier entry unlocked, so for example, if there is a total of 6 entries available for a subject in the game, then 1 dossier entry would be displayed as 100%/6 = 16% of a dossier, 2 entries as 33%, 3 entries as 50%, an so on. Note that a secret fact does not contribute to the percentage of a dossier unlocked.

Some dossiers have more intel available for collection than there are total entries in a dossier (for example, there are 4 possible instances where you can acquire Halbech Corporation dossier intel, while it only has 3 entries to unlock). In those cases, when you collect an extra piece of intel while already at 100% nothing happens and the completion percentage remains the same.

  • Secret Fact: Can be only unlocked after completing both the Ruins and Warehouse missions, if the reputation with her is at +3 or higher and if her dossier is at 100%. When Mike finds Madison sleeping at the safehouse after a mission, he can let her sleep or romance her. Either way, the secret fact will be unlocked during the conversation with her in the morning.

Mina Tang (4 dossiers, 1 secret fact)[]

  • First conversation with Mina after waking up in the infirmary at the beginning of the game.
  • Conversation with Mina after completing her extra challenge during weapons orientation.
  • Briefing for the Bug Al-Samad Airfield mission. Select "Why Me?", then "Dossier" during the briefing. Only available if her first two dossiers are unlocked; otherwise the option will appear, but will act the same as "Disconnect" option.
  • Found during Bug CIA Listening Post in one of the rooms on the 3rd floor.
  • Secret Fact: During the conversation with Mina at the Greece Safehouse before the Infiltrate Alpha Protocol mission, select the "Dossier" option. If Mina has a positive reputation with Thorton, the first "Dossier" option will be replaced by the "Kiss" option — ignore it and choose anything else to be able to select the "Dossier" option as the next response.

  • Found on the computer on the way to the elevator after disabling the security in the Intercept Surkov at US Embassy mission.
  • Secret Fact: There are three ways to acquire this intel, all during Infiltrate Alpha Protocol:
    1. Meet Scarlet in the interrogation room and hear her confess about her role in Sung's (attempted) assassination. Must have completed the Contact Scarlet Lake mission and have a reputation of +6 or higher with Scarlet.
    2. Download the PDA information from Omen Deng in the Monitoring Center, instead of contacting Parker. Must have spared Omen Deng in Taipei.
    3. After skipping the Contact Scarlet Lake mission or ignoring Scarlet by not going to the interrogation room, spare Henry Leland at the very end. With this method the secret fact will not be viewable, as the intel menu cannot be accessed during the ending cutscenes.
